Haman, James "Jim" W, age 85, of Spring Valley, passed away Monday, December 24th, 2018.
He was born November 4th, 1933. Jim served in the United States Air Force before earning his Bachelors Degree in Education from Bowling Green University. Jim retired as Vice President of the Trust Department for Society National Bank.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Sandra.
Jim is survived by one daughter, Kim Frantz (Jeffrey) of Fairborn, one son, Scott Haman (Rebecca) of Xenia; six grandchildren, Dustin Whitworth, Brandon Whitworth (Ashley), Mackenzie Hail (Josh), Heather Burrell Haman, Samantha Watkins (Chris), and Sarah Ashley (Jeremy); eight great-grandchildren, Austin, Brody, Cayden, Leanne, Kaelynn, Riley, Nadia and Madilynn; one niece, Debi Feiler and one nephew, Bruce R. "B.R." Hilker; as well as his sister Judy Tom (Ron), and brother Jack Haman.
Jim loved his family dearly! When he wasn't spending time with them, you could find him at Walnut Grove where he was a long-time member. In his early years, he spent a lot of time fly fishing.
The family will gather together to celebrate Jim's life beginning with a visitation on Saturday Dec. 29th from 10-11 am at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home (92 W Franklin St., Bellbrook) continuing with a service at 11:00 am, and followed by military honors at Bellbrook Cemetery.
